Winners of Advertising Excellence in Kentucky Newspapers awards announced

LOUISVILLE - The top winners in the Kentucky Press Association's Advertising Excellence in Kentucky Newspapers contest were announced during an awards banquet Friday.

The top winners, recognized for general excellence, were the Todd County Standard, the McCreary County Voice, the Jessamine Journal, the Kentucky Standard of Bardstown, the Appalachian News-Express of Pikeville, The Gleaner of Henderson, the Messenger Inquirer of Owensboro and the Medical Leader of Pikeville.

Other newspaper honored for general excellence include: Kentucky Mountain News of Jackson, Beattyville Enterprise, the Springfield Sun, the News-Democrat of Carrollton, the Oldham Era, the Record of Leitchfield, the Sentinel-News of Shelbyville, the Adair Progress, the Times-Tribune of Corbin, the Madisonville Messenger, the Bowling Green Daily News, the Kentucky New Era of Hopkinsville, the Lexington Herald-Leader, the Kentucky Enquirer, the Murray State News, and the Fort Campbell Courier.
