Winners of Excellence in Kentucky Newspapers awards announced during KPA Convention
LEXINGTON – General Excellence winners were announced during the Kentucky
Press Association’s Excellence in Kentucky Newspapers Contest during an awards
banquet Friday.
The top winners, recognized for general excellence, were: the Todd County Standard;
the Henry County Local; the Oldham Era; the Kentucky Standard, Bardstown; the
Richmond Register; the Times-Tribune of Corbin; the Advocate Messenger
of Danville; the Lexington Herald Leader, the Chevy Chaser Magazine; and the
Kentucky Kernel of Lexington.
Other newspapers honored were: the Breathitt County Voice; the McLean County
News; the Springfield Sun; the Spencer Magnet; the Jessamine Journal; the Casey
County News; the Sentinel Echo of London; the Morehead News; the Frankfort
