The Paducah Sun is looking for a proven professional to lead its Advertising Department. Must be an experienced sales leader, well versed in building relationships with clients and making research-based sales presentations. Must also be a competent administrator, proficient in Excel and a capable writer and overseer departmental goals and budgets. Must have proven ability to identify, hire and develop promising talent. Must be organized, able to produce honest, on-time annual performance reviews and job-improvement goals.

College degree preferred; minimum Associates Degree required. Job oversees staff of 10 retail account executives; 1 national account executive; 2 specialty product sales staff; 2 support staff; the Classified Manager and 2 classified clerks. Must be capable of elevating an award-winning daily, acclaimed magazine, business journal, special sections and paid website ranked among the nations top ten paid dailies.

The Paducah Sun is a 25,000 circulation 7-day a.m. and flagship newspaper of Paxton Media Group, LLC’s 32 daily newspapers. A $10 million printing facility that includes four, four-high DGM Advantage II presses will be finished in April 2008.
