The Oldham Era in LaGrange, Ky. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of general manager of its 7,900 paid weekly newspaper along with its 27,500 circulation shopper. LaGrange is approximately 30 miles northeast of Louisville and is one of LCNI's most desirable markets. The successful candidate should have proven newspaper management experience, including bottom line responsibility, demonstrated success in team building, and proven leadership, delegation and administrative skills. The candidate should also have effective communication skills (both written and oral), and experience and skill in developing and implementing short and long term plans, including the ability to leverage market strengths. The successful candidate will develop and lead the management team, achieve desired business results, drive revenue growth locally and in LCNI's Kentucky combo network, actively participate in community projects and civic organizations, and actively oversee all departments of the organization.
