Description: The News Standard is looking for a sports editor who can cover local sports in Meade County, with some UK UofL coverage when time permits. The fans, coaches and kids here have a great passion fore athletics so the candidate must share that passion, and be knowledgeable of broad range of sports. Meade County is highly competitive in every sport and this is the perfect job for a recent graduate with college newspaper experience, or someone with experience at a small weekly that takes their job seriously! In addition to covering games, the candidate must be able to design attractive pages, copy edit, shoot photos, edit photos, and generate story ideas. Experience in InDesign and Photoshop preferred.
